The surface wear of the crankshaft main journal and connecting rod journal is not uniform, and the radial wear is elliptical, and the axial wear is conical. The wear of the connecting rod journal is 1-2 times larger than that of the main journal, and the inner side of the journal is more worn. The most worn part of the main journal is on the side of the connecting rod journal. When the cylinder of the journal is too large, the load-carrying capacity of the bearing is greatly reduced and the wear is aggravated.
Under the action of the resultant moment of the movement of the piston connecting rod group, the crankshaft produces alternating stress and causes fatigue damage. In addition, the additional stress caused by the torsional vibration and bending vibration of the crankshaft, when it reaches a high value, leads to the bending and twisting deformation of the crankshaft. When this deformation exceeds the service limit, severe wear will occur between the bearing and the journal, and at the same time, the wear of the cylinder, piston, and piston ring will be accelerated.
